MALDI Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometers

Comstock's MALDI (matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization) spectrometers are built as standard spectrometers or to customer specifications.

Standard MALDI Spectrometer configurations:

• Floor Standing Linear.
• Floor Standing Reflectron.

Standard Features:

• 337 nm N₂ desorption/ionization laser.
• Delayed pulsed extraction for enhancement of the mass resolution.
• 30 KV ion acceleration.
• Microtiter compatible sample plate (96 spots, 384 spots, random or other user specified patterns).
• Fully computer controlled with software and hardware interlocks.
• Windows operating system.

Cost saving considerations:

• 5KV ion acceleration instead of 30KV for low mass only detection ( < 5000 amu).
• Manually operated, single sample probe

Comstock customers can custom specify a MALDI spectrometer.

• Ports for orthogonal photoionization laser.
