High Resolution - High Transmission Reflectron Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometers
Comstock's 200 series reflectron Time-of-Flight mass spectrometers are the state of the art in commercial Time-of-Flight instrumentation.
The combination of Comstock's proprietary second order spatial focussing sources for EII, LI, MALDI, and LDI applications and the second order energy focussing ion mirror results in superb mass resolution. Under the conditions of electron impact ionization of room temperature gases, the mass resolution is 5000 m/dm (FWHM) for molecular gases and 9000 m/dm (FWHM) for atomic gases.
The gridless design and Comstock's proprietary dispersion correcting lensing of the ion mirror results in nearly perfect transmission of ions through the ion mirror. The transmission, determined using ion counting techniques, is 92.7 +/- 0.5 %.

RTOF-210 Electron Impact Ionization Spectra
